This course is a study of the situational procedures and techniques necessary in defusing situations identified as crises. The course provides the student with an understanding of procedures to be used in the delicate and dangerous aspects of police work, referred to as the crisis. Recognition of crisis situations as well as positive appropriate action to be taken, is stressed in the course.
